Women Voices in literature come to the fore

Dehradun: Booknerds, India’s leading book club community based out of Dehradun hosted its third edition of the Women Writers’ Hangout . The event was a precursor to International Women’s Day with an afternoon of celebration and inspiration, bringing together some of the most talented women writers in the industry to share their insights.

The event was filmed by one of India’ leading film makers and video production house Liberal Arts Production, Jivisa,one of Uttarakhand’s leading wellness brand was the wellness partner  and Discover Uttarakhand ,the magazine partner, and featured a diverse array of authors, including Samantha Kochhar, Rati Agnihotri, Gunmehar Juneja, Aneeta Sharma, Indrani Talukdar, and Deepanjali Singh.

Held at the resplendent rooftop restaurant of Marbella Spanish Boutique Hotel, this year’s event was bigger and better, with insightful discussions, and engaging dialogue. Attendees had the opportunity to network with fellow book lovers and writers, learn about the latest trends in publishing, and gain valuable insights on how to navigate the literary landscape as a woman.

There was discourse about a wide range of topics such as the challenges and opportunities of being a woman writer, creating compelling characters and stories, promoting work and building a loyal fanbase, the role of diversity and representation in contemporary literature, and the future of publishing and digital media.

The session was curated by Neha Raj ( The Book Marketing Girl ) and moderated by book podcaster Rohan Raj who are also the co-founders of Booknerds.
