Dehradun: 11th Sep 2021: St. Joseph’s Academy, Dehradun , organized the J L D’Souza Memorial Inter-school English debate competition on a virtual platform. Highly talented debaters from twelve schools such as Convent of Jesus and Mary, Summer Valley School, Cambrian Hall, The Asian School , St. Mary’s Academy – Meerut, Welham Girls’ School, RIMC, Grace Academy, Doon International School, St. George’s College- Mussoorie, St. Mary’s Convent Sr. Sec. School-Vikasnagar, and St. Joseph’s Academy participated to prove their wit and eloquence . The esteemed judges for the day, Indrani Pandhi, Rajat Shakti and Dr. Anuj S. Singh congratulated the participants for their thought provoking ideas and persuasive articulation. Thereafter, Manvi Manglik regaled the virtual audience with her soulful performance. The results of the debate were 1st Runner-up Speaker (FOR) : Avika Mantri, Welham Girls’ School. Best Speaker (FOR): Aishi Thapliyal,The Asian School . 1st Runners-up Speaker (AGAINST): Saumya Aswal, Summer Valley School. Best Speaker (AGAINST) : Vasundhara Panwar, Convent of Jesus and Mary.
