Forest Department and Waste warriors jointly conducted cleanup drive in Govind wildlife sanctuary

Dehradun: For cleaning up Doon city and to generate environmental issues and awareness among the masses forest department and waste warriors conducted cleanup drive in Govind wildlife sanctuary during this cleanup drive around 2500 kg plastic waste collected from Govind wildlife sanctuary with the help of Forest Department and Waste Warriors society

 It was a very important and happy day for the Forest Department and the Waste Warriors organization, for the third time, 2500 kg of plastic waste was collected and managed in this area with the help of the Forest Department.  Let us tell you that earlier, the Waste Warriors Organization and the Forest Department together have taken a unique step towards environmental protection by managing 9000 kg of waste.  This 2500 kg waste collected just now was collected with the help of Safai Saathis of four villages and sent to Dehradun Harrawala Material recovery facility (run by Waste Warriors)  for further recycling.

 To make this program more important, energetic and aware, more than 100 children from three schools of Gachwan village together took part in the cleanliness drive, in which area Block Development Officer, Range Officer Supin, Village Head Natwad and Gachwangaon, Gram Panchayat Development Officer, Anganwadi workers  School teachers and villagers participated enthusiastically.

 Jodi Underhill (England resident), the founder of the Waste Warriors organization, who is running this program, was also present.  Describing the management of garbage as necessary, he encouraged the enthusiasm of all the people present.
