Aquatic Meet Showcases Swimming Talent at Aryan School

19th May 2023, Dehradun: The Aryan School organized an Aquatic Meet today, where students showcased their swimming prowess in a series of thrilling competitions. The event brought together participants from the school’s four houses – Atharva, Sama, Rig, and Yajur – who competed passionately in various swimming events, captivating the audience with their skills and determination. The Chief Guests on the occasion were Chairperson Simi Gupta and Principal B Dasgupta.

The Aquatic Meet, held at the school’s in-house swimming pool, was a vibrant display of talent and sportsmanship. Students demonstrated their exceptional swimming techniques, speed, and endurance as they raced against each other in freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke, and butterfly events. The participants gave their all, pushing themselves to the limit in pursuit of victory for their respective houses.

Toward the culmination of the program, the results of the various competitions were announced, wherein Sama House and Yajur House won the Champions Trophy. The Best Swimmer award in the boys’ category was presented to Satvik Sharma of Sama House, who won three gold medals, whereas the Best Swimmer award in the girls’ category was presented to Chayatinee of Atharva House, who also won three gold medals.

Apart from the competitive races, the event also featured fun swimming activities that added a delightful touch of excitement and camaraderie. Students indulged in water polo, relay races, and synchronized swimming, bringing smiles and laughter to the spectators. These activities provided an opportunity for students to bond, showcase their creativity, and display their teamwork in the aquatic realm.

Principal B Dasgupta expressed her delight at the success of the Aquatic Meet, stating, “The Aquatic Meet is an important event in our school’s sports calendar. It not only encourages students to excel in swimming but also promotes teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship. I am immensely proud of our students for their dedication and the effort they put into preparing for this event.”
