Tula’s Institute holds Tula’s Hackathon 2023

26th April 2023, Dehradun: Tula’s Institute hosted a two-day national-level marathon coding competition ‘Tula’s Hackathon 2023’, within the college premises today. The program was attended by talented individuals and teams from various organizations across different states of India.

The competition began with a Saraswati Vandana and the national anthem, followed by a welcome note from Dr. Anil Kumar, Director of Tula’s Institute, who formally welcomed the Chief Guest, Professor Durgesh Pant, Director General UCOST, Dr. Lokesh Sharma, Director of the Department of Information Technology, School of Information Technology, Manipal University Jaipur, Dr. Sumit Shrivastava, Director of the Department of Information Technology, Manipal University Jaipur, Dr. Mahesh Jangid, Associate Professor of the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Manipal University Jaipur, Balaji Ayyangar (Lead Architect Trikon), and participants from various organizations from different states.

Professor Durgesh Pant addressed the audience and encouraged the participants to compete with the best of their talents.

During the event, the participants attended two keynote sessions. The first session was presented by Dr. Lokesh Sharma, Deputy Director of the Department of Information Technology, School of Information Technology, Manipal University Jaipur, who shared insightful applications of artificial intelligence and machine learning in the modern-day. The second session was presented by Mr. Balaji Ayyangar, Lead architect Trikon, who spoke about finance technology, blockchain, and IoT, and had a wonderful interaction with the participants.

Dr. Anand Kumar Gupta shared Dos and Don’ts, along with important rules and regulations for the participants to ensure the successful and smooth functioning of the program.

After 30 hours of coding, the results were announced during the valedictory session. Team Sachin from MIT Moradabad won the first prize, Team Mohit Kumar from Tula’s Institute won the second prize, and Team Naman Bajpayee, also from Tula’s Institute, won the third prize. Additionally, two Consolation Prizes were given to Team Nikhil Mathur from Tula’s Institute and Team Kalpana Mehta from Chandigarh University.

The participants received appreciation from Dr. Raghav Garg, Vice President (Technology), who also took part in the prize distribution ceremony. The event was attended by Dr. Sunil Semwal, Dean R&D, Dr. Tripuresh Joshi, Coordinator R&D, Mr. Vaibhav TPO, Dr. Sandeep Kumar, and Mr. Sandeep Gautam.

The program provided a platform for participants to showcase their coding skills and learn from industry experts.
