Dehradun,10 th Feb. 2023: The 23rd Appearance Day (Prakatotsav) of Sajjadanashin (Spiritual superior of the shrine) Gaddinashin (Spiritual superior of the shrine) Shri Mahant Devendra Das ji Maharaj was celebrated today on Sunday with unmatched religious fervour. Thousands of devotees from Uttarakhand, neighbouring states, other parts of India and abroad reached Shri Darbar Sahib and paid their hearty congratulations to Shri Maharaj ji on his birthday. Shri Maharaj ji also showered his divine blessings over these thousands of devotees.
Special prayers were organized at Shri Darbar Sahib to mark this occasion and ‘prasadam’ (the holy eatable) was also distributed to the devotees. Its worth mentioning that today on 10 th February in the year 2000, Brahmleen Shri Mahant Indiresh Charan Dass ji Maharaj accepted Shri Devendra Dass ji as his disciple and he took “religious learning” (Deeksha) under Shri Guru ji. Since then, 10 th February has been celebrated every year as the Birthday (Appearance Day) or Prakatotsav of Shri Mahant Devendra Das ji Maharaj. On 25 th June 2000, Shri Mahant Devendra Das ji Maharaj became Gaddinashin (became enthroned) at Shri Guru Ram Rai Darbar Sahib in the form of Sajjadanashin (Spiritual superior of the shrine).
On Friday, since morning unmatched enthusiasm and religious fervour was experienced at Shri Darbar Sahib. In the morning, after routine prayers, Shri Maharaj ji bowed down at Shri Darbar Sahib and and the holy flag pole Shri Jhande ji. After that, the chief priest conducted the special prayers of the appearance day of Shri Mahant Devendra Dass ji Maharaj. Shri Maharj ji also got done ‘ardas’ as per the tradition of Shri Darbar Sahib. While addressing the gathering of the devotees and general public, Shri Maharaj ji said that Shri Guru Maharaj Ji has always inspired him by his presence in micro form.
He always got utmost love & affection of doonites, people of Uttarakhand and Sangat devotees. He urged the young generation to take ensure their roles in Organic Farming, Environmental Conservation and Enrichment. He recalled his objective of providing a new and correct direction to society by making reach quality education and health services even to the fr flung and remote hill areas of Uttarakhand. under this mission, Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital is devoted to provide quality health services even to the remote and far flung rural areas of the Uttarakhand and nearby states.
On the other hand, Shri Guru Ram Rai University is providing quality education to all the sections of the society.He recalled that S.G.R.R. Mission will always be struggling to bring the backward and poor classes of the society to its mainstream. After this, students and staff members of the SGRR Public Schools from all over North India, Staff of Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital, Students of SGRRIM&HS, Shri Guru Ram Rai University and dignitaries of the city, Sangat devotees from various parts of Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, other parts of India and abroad, availed the divine blessings of Shri Maharaj ji.
They also wished Shri Maharaj ji a long life. Sangat devotees from Punjab and Haryana had reached on Thursday only to be a part of the celebration of Appearance Day (Prakatotsav) of Shri Maharaj Ji. The congratulations giving continued till late evening. A special ‘langar’ (the free spiritual food) was also organized at the occasion and the devotees were distributed sweets. The rhythm of congratulating continued till late in the evening. Many reputed people
and dignitaries of Dehradun also congratulated Shri Maharaj ji by reaching Shri Darbar Sahib.
