Dehradun. With the probable outbreak of Third Wave of Corona and increasing Corona cases in
Uttarakhand , Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital has prepared to combat them. A Covid Task Forrce
has been formed under the captain ship of Medical Superintendent of Shri Mahant Indiresh
Hospital. An Emergency & urgent meeting was called by the Principal, Shri Guru Ram Rai
Institute of Medical & Health Sciences which was attended by Pulmonary Medicine Deptt’s
Doctors, Anaesthesia specialists, Team of Emergency Doctors, Nursing and Paramedical Staff on
Wednesday. A special Covid Task Force has been formed at the hospital.
The Covid Task Force
will be co-ordinating to give quick response in treatment to each and every Covid patient
coming to Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital. These all information were made available by
Principal, Shri Guru Ram Rai Institute of Medical & Health Sciences, Dr. Yashbir Dewan.
Dr. Yashbir Dewan informed that keeping in mind the sensitivity of First and
Second Waves of Corona, Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital has kept reserved 251 General Beds
and 71 ICU Beds for the treatment of Covid patients. Separate ICU Beds and treatment facilities
have been made for the pediatric patients.
Principal Dr. Yashbir Dewan checked all these
necessary arrangements and released necessary directions to save lives in time of Covid
outbreak. Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital had worked in fantastic cooperation with the State
Govt. and Deptt. of Health during the outbreak of First and Second Waves of Corona. In case of
outbreak of Third Wave of Corona, Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital will be co-operating and co-
ordinating shoulder to shoulder with Uttarakhand Govt. The meeting was marked by the
auspicious presence of Vice Principal Dr. Lalit Varshney, Vice Principal Dr. Puneet Ohri, HOD,
Pediatrics, Dr. Utkarsh Sharma, Technical specialist of Covid Treatment & Nodal Officer, Covid
Task Force, Dr. Jagdish Rawat, Dr. Gaurav Raturi, Dr. S.P. Singh, etc.
KEY PREAPARATIONS OF SHRI MAHANT INDIRESH HOSPITAL
- Pulmonary Medicine Deptt., Medicine Deptt., Anaesthesia Deptt., Emergency Team
including Nursing, Paramedical and Support Staff have been put on alert mode. - Sufficient arrangement of Oxygen and ICU Beds.
