Dehradun- 24 April 2023 :- SAKSHAM is an annual flagship event of PCRA of one-month duration. It is held to sensitize citizens about the need of fuel conservation for health and environmental protection, as well as to help India reduce its reliance on crude oil imports.
Saksham-2023, was inaugurated on 24 th April 2023, at IIP Dehradun. Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat Hon’ble Minister for Health Education and Cooperative of Uttarakhand Government was Chief Guest.
In his speech he had emphasized for adopting the new measures and initiatives for energy conservation. He had further stated that since Conventional energy sources will exhaust in future so it is necessary that we should make effort to conserve the petroleum products. Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat had administered the pledge to conserve petroleum products in all spheres of our activities so that scarce resources last longer for the progress of the country.
On this occasion Shri Anjan Ray Director IIP, had also stressed upon the need of using alternate energy as it will help in reducing Carbon emission to achieve net zero towards. On this occasion, Dr. Suneel Pathak, in his speech had informed about many new initiatives being taken in the nation. A Walkathon was also done by the students on this occasion. Shri Prabhat Kumar Verma, DRSH Dehradun Indian Oil & SLC Uttarakhand had shared the agenda of Saksham-2023 and activities to be carried out in Uttarakhand. Shri Nishant Kumar TM BPCL had also shared the energy saving tips in our day to day life. Vote of Thanks was given by Shri Deepak Kaushik
