24th March 2022, Dehradun: The Uttarakhand Chapter of FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO) hosted the Annual Fellowship Program at Fairfield by Marriott today. The program was organized to felicitate and appreciate the commendable work done by the FLO members. The Guest of Honor present during the occasion was Jyotish Vibhushan and Bhushan Awardee Astrologist Dr. Acharya Sushant Raj.The program began with an introduction of FLO, followed by an annual report presentation by the Chairperson, FLO Uttarakhand Komal Batra.
Speaking on the occasion, Komal said, “In our 4th year, we are proud to share that we have achieved various benchmarks in skilling, agriculture, upskilling, education, and knowledge enhancement for members of the community & the underprivileged equally. This year we introduced Mama Gaia Project (environment), Mirambika (education), Arigato (member appreciation), Teascapes (business networking), Village Industries & technology (village adoption SAGY) & Business Akron(business upskilling), as some of the initiatives for empowerment of women and children.”
She further added, “The highlight of our year, through the Startup Cell (upskilling opportunities with GOI) FLO Uttarakhand proudly represented one of its members and Agriculture & VIT Vertices Head Nupur Agarwal, Owner of KiWi Kisan Window at the India Innovation HUB at Dubai Expo 2020. With over 35 events & initiatives this year, FLO Uttarakhand has set the bar high and fostered goals for a better future for its professional & entrepreneurial women members & the community of Uttarakhand.”Later, the felicitation ceremony of FLO members commenced. Dr. Geeta Khanna, Nupur Agarwal, Priyamvada Iyer, Tripti Behl, Shikha Prakash, Maneet Suri, Ritu Batra, Minakshi Soti, Harpreet Kaur Marwah, Mona Verma, Maansi Rastogi, Dr. Neha Sharma, Anuradha Malla, Smriti Batta, Poonam Kumar, Kiran Bhatt Todaria, Komal Batra and Namita Gupta, were felicitated during the program.Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Acharya Sushant Raj said, “I feel proud to be present amongst so many capable and praiseworthy women, who are a part of FICCI FLO Uttarakhand Chapter.
I feel that if we empower a woman today, she will lead to a progressive society for tomorrow. I congratulate all the members present for hosting a successful program here today.”Followed by this was Garhwali and Rajasthani Folk Dance performances which were appreciated by all present.During the program, rising Paralympian & the youngest wheelchair racer of Uttarakhand, Hope Teresa David, was also felicitated.A token of gratitude was presented to the Past Chairs of the FLO Uttarakhand Chapter, including Shilpi Arora, Nazia Izuddin, and Kiran Bhatt Todaria. During the culmination of the program, all the vendors and sponsors were also felicitated, including the event partner Kairos Consciousness, Studio by Miss Crafty, Mind, Body & Soul, and Creatiwitty.The program concluded with a Vote of Thanks by the Senior Vice-Chair & Chairperson Elect, Dr. Neha Sharma.
