Country’s hermit society (Sant Samaj) is playing a lead role in securing first place to this identity on the world platform and is working as a dynamic messenger. The company of saints establish peace and harmony in the society. It’s the religion only, that attaches a person to another and builds personality. The young generation must inculcate in themselves the teachings of the hermits (saints and mahants) and the message of Indian culture. With excellent knowledge and love, Indian can again emerge as Vishwa Guru (World Mentor). The biographies of the great philosophers and philanthropists must be combined with advances in science, technology and new innovation which will lead to the welfare of the human race swiftly.
These all were the words of Shri Mahant Devendra Das Ji Maharaj of Shri Darbar Sahib as the Chief Guest while addressing the gathering at the meeting of hermits (sant samagam) organized at Shri Gurumandal Ashram, Devipura, Haridwar. On Friday, a programme was organized at Shri Gurumandal Ashram, Devipura, Haridwar which was attended by Mahamandeleshwars, Shri Mahants, Mahants, Sadhus & Saints of different Akharas. Mahamandeleshwar of Shri Gurumandal Ashram, Shri Mahant Bhagwat Swaroop Ji Maharaj publicly declared his successor. In the programme, he declared Shri Mahant Shiv Swaroop Ji Maharaj as his successor. The hermits (Mahamandeleshwars, Shri Mahants, Mahants, sadhus and saints) who attended this programme also enthusiastically participated in Shri Jagannath Rath Yatra.
The programme was marked by the auspicious presence of Shri Guru Ram Rai Darbar Sahib’s Shri Mahant Devendra Das Ji Maharaj as the Chief Guest. Shri Mahant Devendra Das Ji Maharaj congratulated the new successor of the hermitage (ashram) Shri Mahant Vishwa Swaroop Ji Maharaj. Shri Mahant Vishwa Swaroop Ji Maharaj in his address at the gathering praised the remarkable contribution of Shri Darbar Sahib and institutions of Shri Guru Ram Rai Education Mission in imparting quality education and healthcare in devbhoomi Uttarakhand. He said that it’s a matter of pride for the society of hermits (sadhus and saints) that the first
medical college of devbhoomi Uttarakhand is Shri Guru Ram Rai Medical College.
He repeated that Shri Guru Ram Rai Medical College, Shri Guru Ram Rai University and the biggest chain of public schools in Uttarakhand are being run by Shri Darbar Sahib. He also bowed down with faith while remembering the charismatic personality of Parampujya Gurudev Brahnleen Shri Mahant Indiresh Charan Das Ji Maharaj who is the Guru of Shri Mahant Devendra Das Ji Maharaj. Mahamandleshwar Shri Bhagwat Swaroop Ji Maharaj congratulated Shri Mahant Devendra Das Ji Maharaj over his outstanding achievement in the fields of healthcare and education. He also expressed this gratitude on behalf of hermit society (sant samaj) to Shri Mahant Devendra Das Ji Maharaj for his auspicious presence. Parmadayakhas and representatives of various hermitages (ashrams) were present in the occasion.
