Dehradun: Its a moment of immense pleasure to share that Uttaranchal University has become the numero uno university of Uttarakhand after receiving A+ Grade by National Accreditation and Assessment Council of U.G.C. this views were expressed by Professor Rajesh Bahuguna, Vice chancellor of Uttranchal University during press conference held today at one of local hotel situated in Dehradun. While talking to media he also said that It is noteworthy that the university was established in 2012 with the passage of Uttaranchal University Act by the Legislature of Uttarakhand. It was registered as a U.G.C. 2F university within a year of its establishment on 10th April 2013. Subsequently it became the first private university of Uttarakhand to secure a place in U.G.C. 129(B) list which enabled her to become at par with government universities in the context of recipients of financial grants for research projects from U.G.C. It must be noted that about 30 institutions from Uttarakhand applied for NAAC. As per the information available from NAAC Website, none of the university with the exception of Uttaranchal University has achieved NAAC A+ Grade.

he also said that Uttaranchal University applied for NAAC visit on 14th December 2020 while the SSR was filed for the same on 2nd of March 2021. the NAAC of U.G.C. set up a seven member peer team for physical inspection of the university which visited from 4th to 6th of January. The university was subjected to different rules and standards as prescribed by the apex assessment body.
Uttaranchal University lived upto the expectations of NAAC Peer Team on all the above mentioned standard which eventually culminated into A+ Grade awarded by the same body.
This splendid and exemplary accomplishment has not only placed Uttaranchal University among the top notch universities of the country but also contributed to the enhancement of image of Uttarakhand in the sphere of higher education at the national level. Hon’ble Chancellor of the university, Shri Jitender Joshi attributed this magnificent achievement to the teachers, researchers, staffs and students of the university.
