Dehradun, Uttarakhand will field its contingent of 66 including 51 players and 15 support staff for the 10-day Khelo India Youth Games being organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India and the Government of Haryana from June 4. Apart fromTau Devi Lal Stadium in Panchkula, Chandigarh, Ambala, Shahbad and Delhi are also the venues for these games.
Satish Sarki from the Sports Department, who is leading the team as Chef de Mission, said that Uttarakhand will sweat out in Athletics, Badminton, Boxing, Judo, Wrestling, Gatka, Mallakhamb, Yogasan and Thang Ta.
Uttarakhand had secured 19th position by earning four gold, four silver and 11 bronze medals in the last edition held at Guwahati (Assam)
