Uttarakhand Adventures Fest begins to promote Adventure Tourism

Dehradun 26th September 2021:- Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board ( UTDB) in collaboration with FICCI FLO (Empowering the Greater 50) started from Sunday. Honorable Forest Minister Dr. Harak Singh Rawat joined the session as penalist. He also launched the Single Window System for Mountaineering related services in Uttarakhand.

The session then continued with a panel discussion on Forest and Wildlife Tourism, Homestay and Rural Tourism, and Young Adventures.

Sharing his views on Adventure Tourism he said, “Uttarakhand has immense potential for adventure tourism which can gain immense buzz among tourists in India and all around the world. I, today, pledged to give all the necessary help to promote adventure tourism in Uttarakhand. The single-window portal launched today will also ensure ease to the tourists visiting Uttarakhand.”

Secretary Tourism Shri Dilip Jawalkar said, “We are organising this event to celebrate World Tourism Day. The theme of this event is adventure tourism wherein we aim to increase the visibility of adventure tourism in Uttarakhand. The events have stalls and workshops which are being operated by our co-partners aiming to engage young students and inspire them to enjoy or pursue adventure tourism as a hobby or career.”

Principal Chief Conservator of Forest Shri Rajiv Bhartari also graced the session and shared his valuable thoughts on conserving forest and promoting tourism in the state.

 Additional Chief Executive Officer Col. Ashwini Pundir, Additional Director Shri Vivek Singh Chauhan, Additional Director Smt Poonam Chand, Deputy Director Shri Yogendra Singh Gangwar were present during the occasion.
