Dehradun: Urja Cup 2023 is the fourth edition of cricket tournament being played among the various government departments at Tanush Cricket Academy ground on Shimla bypass road. In today’s match UPCL beat Uttarakhand Excise department by 69 runs. UPCL entered into quarter-final of the tournament by winning it’s initial 3 matches in a row.
UPCL batted first and with the help of Ashish Rawat’s 45 and captain Kiran Singh innings of 21 runs gave a target of 150 runs to Excise department. Uttarakhand Excise team got all out for 81 runs against the excellent spells of UPCL bowlers Mukesh Kumar, Kiran Singh and Anoop Tomar. Mukesh Kumar was adjudged the Player of the Match for his spell of 4 wickets for 25 runs.
