16 November 2022, Dehradun: Dehradun-based not-for-profit organization Udgam Foundation Society commenced its 14-days-long ‘Pransutra’ and ‘Swasth Ahaar’ workshops at Rajkiya Balika Inter College situated on Rajpur Road today. The workshops are focused on teaching various Yoga practices & spreading awareness about Hindu culture, as well as guidance about the right eating habits for girls.
The facilitators of the workshop are renowned Yoga Instructors Acharya Mukesh Chandra Kala and Smriti Batta.
The first day of the workshop began with the lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries. This was followed by the introduction of Udgam Foundation Society and Yoga Instructor Mukesh Kala by the Principal of Rajkiya Balika Inter College. Instructor Mukesh Kala then proceeded with the commencement of the workshop with the first Yoga Asana. He also taught a few breathing exercises to the participating students. The workshop concluded with a story from Gita, thus, shedding light on the rich Hindu culture.
Speaking on the occasion, President Udgam Foundation, Tripti Behl said, “The vision behind this workshop is to create awareness among girl students regarding the multiple benefits of Yoga to attain holistic health. Yoga plays an essential part in allowing us to take a step toward fitness. This workshop will be a fundamental framework for the participating students to take a step towards health and wellness.”
On the following days of the workshop, the students of Rajkiya Balika Inter College will get to learn multiple beneficial Yoga Asanas and breathing exercises.
Also present on the occasion were Dr. Giggle Rastogi and Deepti Arora, along with members of Udgam Foundation.
