Dehradun, December 13: Tula’s Institute conducted a blanket distribution drive in the remote villages of Premnagar, Dehradun, today. The distribution drive was conducted in collaboration with the National Service Scheme (NSS), as an effort to offer warmth against the biting cold by distributing blankets to the underprivileged. For the successful culmination of the distribution drive, 20 students and faculty members actively took part and distributed over 50 blankets to needy people.
The objective of the distribution drive is to provide a shield to the less privileged from the winter and spread the message of sympathy, love, and sacrifices to society.
Sharing her experience, one of the students who took part in the drive said, “For most of us, the idea of winter means being under the blanket for warmth, lying in our comfort zone, and sipping coffee sitting beside the fire. But for those who are poor & needy, with every drop in the temperatures, it’s a fight for survival. There is no better gift than providing warm clothing to the needy during the winter season, and I’m proud of being a part of this blanket distribution drive by our college!”
