THREE DAYS ‘DEEKSHARAMBH’ PROGRAMME BEGUN AT SHRI GURU RAM RAI UNIVERSITY

Dehradun. 03 rd August 2023. A Three Day programme with the title ‘Deeksharambh’ has begun today for Fresher students at Shri Guru Ram Rai University. This programme will continue up till the 5 th of August 2023. On the First Day of the Programme ‘Deeksharambh’, first of all the message of Chancellor, Shri Guru Ram Rai University, Shri Mahant Devendra Dass Ji Maharaj was read out which was to congratulate all the students and welcome the freshers. After that, Saraswati Vandana was presented. On the First of eth Programme, School of Management of Commerce Studies, School of Agricultural Sciences and School of Yogic Science & Naturopathy welcomed
the Fresher students warmly.
On the occasion, Garhwali & Kumaoni folk dances, music and songs were presented which entertained the students While addressing the students over the occasion, Vice Chancellor, Shri Guru Ram Rai University & Chief Guest, Professor (Dr.) Yashbir Dewan said that various market oriented courses are being run at the university. He said that so many policies are being implemented at the university for the welfare of the students. He said that the prime objective of the university is the welfare of the students aiming at making the students a prime stake holder in country’s development.

He said that not only to teach their respective subjects, but the faculties here are always determined to develop their all round personality. He said that Shri Guru Ram Rai University is one such university where the students on one side are studying Medical, Nursing & Paramedical courses while on the other hand, the courses of Agriculture, Humanities and Education are also being successfully run. He said that this type of multidisciplinary approach and healthy environment leads to the all round development of the students. He motivated the students to develop pleasing personality and right conduct by reading good books and also to keep updating their knowledge to suit the current competitive world.
Registrar, Shri Guru Ram Rai University, Dr. Ajay Kumar Khanduri said that the students here are given administrative knowledge along with the academic courses. He explained in detail the various committees of the university and their functions. Shri Guru Ram Rai University’s Dean Academic, Dr. Kumud Saklani congratulated the students for their bright future. In the programme, University Co-ordinator, Dr. R.P. Singh gave the message of success in life for the students which are hard work as well as smart work. Controller of Examinations, Shri Guru Ram Rai University, Professor Sanjay Sharma explained in deep the process of examinations at Shri Guru Ram Rai University. Over the occasion, HOD, Deptt. of Psychiatry, Shri Guru Ram Rai Institute of Medical & Health Sciences, Dr. Shobit Garg, gave the slogan of ‘No Drugs, No Smoking’ to the students and explained them the disastrous effects of drugs and smoking on body as well as mind to the students and urged them to be away from drugs and smoking.

In the First and Second session, Dean, School of Management & Commerce Studies, Shri Guru Ram Rai University, Professor Pooja Jain, Dean, School of Agricultural Sciences, Shri Guru Ram Rai University, Professor Priyanka Bankoti and Dean, School of Yogic Science & Naturopathy, professor, Saraswati Kala, explained in detail to the students about their respective schools. Over the occasion, the alumni of Shri Guru Ram Rai University also shared their experiences which included Student Madhumita of 2022 batch and Student Kiran of 2020 batch of Deptt. of Yoga.

They shared that how Yoga positively changed their life and the way Shri Guru Ram Rai University always stood for them. Bright Alumus of School of Agricultural Sciences, Ashish Rana shared his story of completing agricultural studies from Shri Guru Ram Rai University and then him even employing other students. A Vote of Thanks was given by Shri Guru Ram Rai University’s Dean, Academic, Dr. (Prof.) Kumud Saklani Stage Anchoring was done by Dr. Shreya Kotnala, Tanya Sehgal, Ishita and Sagar Bajpai. The occasion was also marked by the auspicious presence of Dean Research Dr. Lokesh Gambhir, Dr. Malvika Kandpal, Dr. Priya Pandey, Dr. Kaniak Rawat, Dean, faculties of all the Schools, staff and fresher students of the university.
