Dehradun-23 December: The Polykids Dalanwala , Rajpur Road 1, Rajpur Road 2 & GMS road branches celebrated their Annual Function “The Lockdown Diaries” on 23rd December 2022. Almost 800 students participated in the function at Survey of India Auditorium at Hathibarkala in three different shifts. The event was attended by about 2000 guests and parents.
The talented students took the audience back to the year 2020, the year of Pandemic and Lockdown. The skit ‘Lockdown Diaries’ paid tribute to the corona warriors and how life was before and after the pandemic and during the lockdown. Life during online classes, the vaccination drive and the challenges faced by citizens during the Lockdown were beautifully dramatized. After Covid the normal life was depicted through dances and festival celebrations of different States of India, Ganesh Vandana, Shiv Aradhana, Lohri, Valentine, Holi, Janamashtami, Kawwali, Christmas etc. The Army Act by the students enthralled the audience.
The School Principal highlighted that Atharv Srivastava and Manveer Sandhu won Bronze medals at First Open International Karate Championship 2022 and Archit Panwar won 2 god, 1 silver and 1 bronze medal ,while Vaachi Rawat won 2 gold and 2 silver medals at 5th Rajat Nirwal Memorial Shooting Championship held recently at State Level.
The Chairman of The Poly kids Capt. Mukul Mahendru and Director Mrs. Ranjana Mahendru honoured all the guests.
The Polykids Nimbuwala branch also celebrated its annual day ‘UTSAV’. The students presented different festivals of Holi,Diwali, Shivratri, Ganesh Utsav , Durga Puja and Saraswati Vandana . All the performances were appreciated by everyone. Mr. Gairola, ex Deputy Director, College of Shri Dev Bhoomi attended the function.
