THE BIGGEST HEALTH CAMP ORGANIZED IN THE HISTORY OF SAHASPUR

Dehradun: A Free Health Camp was organized at Shri Guru Ram Rai Inter College by Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital which is run under Shri Guru Ram Rai University. In the Free Health Camp, more than 2,500 patients availed the benefit of the Free Health Camp. The patients were also distributed with free medicines. Free E.C.G., Blood Sugar, Hemoglobin and Blood Pressure tests were also done of the patients. In the Free Health Camp, people of Sahaspur, Dhaki, Shankarpur, Rampur, Lakshmipur, Khushalpur, Prateetpur, Charba, Rampur Kalan, Abdullapur, Sabhawala, Majri, Jassowala, Central Hopetown, Selaqui, Rajawala, Vikas Nagar, etc. got done their health check up. Khushalpur and Lakshmipur villages were adopted by Shri Guru Ram Rai University.

Memorandums of Understanding were signed by the Gram Pradhans of both the villages and Registrar, Shri Guru Ram Rai University for this adoption. It’s worth mentioning that it’s the first time in the history of Sahaspur that such a big Health Camp has been organized on such a large scale which more than two thousand five hundred people reached to get medical help. The most significant point is that super specialist doctors of Deptts. of Cardiology, Cancer and I.V.F. Deptt. were present at the camp to give medical advice to the patients. On Saturday, the Free Health Camp was initiated at Shri Guru Ram Rai Inter College, Sahaspur by the programme’s Chief Guest MLA Sahaspur, Sahdev Singh Pundir, Registrar, Shri Guru Ram Rai University, Dr. Ajay Kumar Khanduri, Chief Medical Superintendent, Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital, Dr. Prerak Mittal, Principal, SGRR Inter College, Dr. Ravinder Saini jointly.


The Chief Guest of the programme, Sahdev Singh Pundir in his address to the gathering said that this is a unique initiative by Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital for the welfare of the people of Sahaspur area. He said that this is significant pioneering work of Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital for the people of Sahaspur. While motivating the doctors, nursing and support staff of Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital to
serve the people of Sahaspur, he said that such a camp is highly comforting for the people of Sahaspur and nearby areas. He requested Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital to organize more such camps in future foe the welfare of the people of Sahaspur.


In his address, Registrar, Shri Guru Ram Rai University, Dr. Ajay Kumar Khanduri said that Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital is committed to make reach quality healthcare services at the grass roots levels to the far flung rural areas. He said that the Chairman of Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital, Shri Mahant Devendra Dass Ji Maharaj has a divine vision to serve humanity at all levels and provide quality
health services to the remote far flung areas including hills. He said that organizing of such Free Health Camps is one such step in this direction.
