11th August 2022, Dehradun: The Aryan School organized the Inter House Devotional and Folk Dance competition within the school premises today. The judges during the competition were Folk Artists Sushma Vyas and Ravindra Vyas.
The competition commenced with the soulful singing of Bhajans by all four houses, including Atharva, Rig, Sama, and Yajur. In the Devotional Song competition, Sama House bagged the first prize, whereas the second and third positions were presented to Yajur & Atharva House. Later during the program, the Folk Dance Competition was held which captivated the audience.
The dances portrayed were –The dance from Maharashtra the Koli, the dance from Tehri Gharwal, the Bhangra of Punjab, and the Dandia from Gujrat. In the Folk Dance Competition, Atharva House bagged the first prize, whereas the second and third positions were presented to Yajur & Sama House.
The judges appreciated the performances of all the houses and congratulated the winners. During the culmination of the program, Principal B. Dasgupta delivered her vote of thanks and congratulated all the students for their versatile performances. The Chairman of the School Simi Gupta was also present on the occasion.
