Dehradun. Forest, Technical Education, Language & Electoral Minister, Govt. of Uttarakhand, Subodh Uniyal bowed down at Shri Darbar Sahib. He had a meeting with Shri Mahant Devendra Das Ji Maharaj of Shri Darbar Sahib in which they discussed about various topics like Agriculture, Agriculture Education and modern farming. Chancellor of Shri Guru Ram Rai University, Shri Mahant Devendra Das Ji Maharaj provided information about organic farming
being done by the Deptt. of Agriculture of the university.
They had detailed discussion about forest wealth, environmental conservation & enrichment, technical education and language. On Wednesday, at 6 p.m. in the evening the convoy of Forest & Technical Education Minister reached Shri Darbar Sahib. There he was welcomed as per the tradition of Shri Darbar Sahib. Minister Subodh Uniyal bowed down at Shri Darbar Sahib and met Shri Devendra Das Ji
Maharaj. During the meeting, Shri Mahant Devendra Das Ji Maharaj informed the Forest Minister that so many employment oriented courses of modern education, agriculture,information technology and language designed exactly as per the current demands of the market are being run at Shri Guru Ram Rai University.Currently organic farming is being done on 55 hectares of agricultural land at Shri Guru Ram Rai University. This has been certified by USOCA (Uttarakhand Seed & Organic Certificate Agency, Ministry of Agriculture, Govt. of India). Shri Maharaj Ji also shared the growing interest among the youth in the courses of Garhwali, Kumaoni and Jaunsari languages being run by SGRR University.
They both also discussed the minimization of forest fires and forest conservation. Shri Maharaj Ji gave information about the organic farming being done in the farms of Shri Darbar Sahib. During the meeting, Forest Minister Subodh Uniyal highly praised the works of Shri Guru Ram Rai University. He said that there are many avenues and opportunities for youth in
the state of Uttarakhand. He highly praised the contribution of the schools of Shri Guru Ram Rai Education Mission schools and Shri Guru Ram Rai University in school education, higher education and medical education. He said that he is highly impressed with Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital and called it a significant partner of govt. in healthcare. He also expressed hope that in future also SGRR institutions will be playing their key roles in public welfare.
