Dehradun: The 19th State Conference of Uttaranchal Orthopaedic Association ‘UAIOACON 2023’ was organized. At this conference, organized at Shri Guru Ram Rai Institute of Medical & Health Sciences, 250 Orthopaedic specialists from all over the country participated. In the Three Days Conference, ortho specialists expressed ideas and shared experiences over researches being conducted the world over on modern treatment, surgery, equipments in modern orthopaedic surgery. HOD, Deptt. of Orthopaedics & Organizing Secretary of the 19th State Conference, Dr. Puneet Gupta informed this 19th State Conference served as an ideal platform to understand many significant orthopaedic subjects and provide better treatment to the patients.
On Friday, the programme was initiated at the auditorium of Shri Guru Ram Rai Institute of Medical & Health Sciences jointly by Chief Guest, Past President, Indian Orthopaedic Association, Dr. Ramesh Sen, Guest of Honour, Current Secretary, Indian Orthopaedic Association, Dr. Navin Thakkar, Programme Patron & Vice Chancellor, Shri Guru Ram Rai University, Dr. Uday Singh Rawat, Co-Patron of the Programme & Principal, Shri Guru Ram Rai Institute of Medical & Health Sciences by lamp lightning. At this State Conference organized on the theme ‘Strong Bone Strong Nation’ Ortho specialists also conducted Live Surgeries. Team of Ortho specialist doctors from Mumbai gave live demonstration through live surgery of Benkart Repair Surgery, Anterior Crushiant Ligament and Miniscus Surgery. Surgery of knee and shoulder was significant because this was done by Laparoscopic method and was live telecasted. In the Conference, knowledge was also imparted on the subjects of PRP, Stem Cells, Cartilage Repair, Autologas Chondrosite Implantation, Miniscus Repair and Austoautotomy.
Whiel addressing the gathering over the occasion, Indian Orthopaedic Association’s Past President Dr. Ramesh Sen said that prime objective of this conference was to acquaint the young generation of Orthopaedic surgeons with the ultramodern techniques of treatment so that their benefits can reach the patients and humanity.
Current President of Indian Orthopaedic Association, Dr. Navin Thakker said that the association is performing commendable work all over India for the improvement of Orthopaedic healthcare services and betterment of patients. He said that the association will always be committed to solve the problems faced by orthopaedic surgeons all over India.
President, Uttaranchal Orthopaedic Association, Dr. Ajay Pal Singhand Secretary Dr. Puneet Agarwal also congratulated all the members over the successful and magnificent organizing of UAIOACON 2023. Dr. Vimal Nautiyal and Navneet Badoni also expressed ideas and shared knowledge at the conference. A Vote of Thanks was given by Organizing Secretary of the Conference, Dr. Puneet Gupta. The Conference was also marked by the auspicious presence of Uttarakhand NMC President Dr. Ajay Khanna, Secretary Dr. D.D.
