Dehradun. What must be the structure of preparations for National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) by universities on the basis of National Education Policy 2020, What significant points must be given emphasis on by the universities for NAAC Accreditation as per the New Education Policy, In what way the universities can easily understand the procedure of NAAC and can given attractive presentations in front of NAAC representatives. Assessment and Accreditation Council), Dr. Neelesh Pandey These all points were explained by Dr. Neelesh Pandey at the Two Days (5 th & 6 th August 2022) Workshop organized at Shri Guru Ram Rai University, Dehradun while addressing 150 representatives that had come from more than 20 educational institutions from Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan.
On Saturday, at the auditorium of Patel Nagar Campus of Shri Guru Ram Rai University, the Second Day of the Workshop was inaugurated jointly by Chief Guest & Chief Speaker Dr. Neelesh Pandey and Vice Chancellor, Shri Guru Ram Rai University, Dr. U.S. Rawat. In his lecture, Dr. Neelesh Pandey said that according to the New Education Policy 2020, now it has become mandatory for all the universities. He explained in detail about the different points related with the performance rating and assessment.
He said that the performance rating and assessment by NAAC is not just one day’s procedure rather it’s an ongoing process for any university. The preparations for NAAAC accreditation must be done by universities using experience, training and continuous efforts. He also gave a comparative analysis on the changes and new policies for NAAC accreditation currently as compared to the past. Vice Chancellor, Shri Guru Ram Rai University in his address said that the objective of this workshop is to share experience and knowledge about the significant points related to the new format of NAAC.
He said that during the performance rating by NAAC team all the important points related to profile of the college, Principal, number of professors, number of faculties, number of Ph. D. scholars, number of students studying, modern equipments of all the labs. of the college, number of national and international journals and other books in the library and other significant points. Only those universities and colleges who come up to the mark on all the parameters of NAAC, are able to achieve NAAC accreditation. Prof. V.A. Bourai also expressed his views. Director of I.Q.A.C. (Internal Quality Assessment Cell) of Shri Guru Ram Rai University Dr. (Prof.) Kumud Saklani did anchoring and convened the programme.
