Dehradun: The very essence of leadership is that you have to have vision, help those in need and inspire those who are doing well, to do even better. The Middle School Investiture, 2022-23 is one of the most prestigious occasions of the school. Newly elected and selected members of the school’s senate are officially vested with their powers and positions, echoing the idea that these students are the visionaries and torch bearers of tomorrow. A moment of jubilation was there when these young leaders were vested with responsibilities to create a legacy. The occasion was graced by the honorable chief guest, Dr. Ashish Kumar Srivastava; Additional Secretary Information Technology and Health, Bagauli, Secretary to the Chief Minister, Uttarakhand, Coordinators and parents of the newly appointed Council Members and the Middle School teachers and students.
Just as sunlight expels the darkness of might, blessings, bring in our life prosperity, joy and optimism. This thought was exemplified by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp the honourable chief guest, Dr. Ashish Kumar Srivastava, Principal of SJ, Rev. Bro. Jeyaseelan, Vice Principal Rev Bro. Astinus Kuzoor and the Middle School Coordinators; Mrs. Anuradha Tandon and Ms. Colleen Singh. This was followed by a graceful dance performance by Class 8 and a melodious rendition of the choir singing ‘Go light Your World’. Manit Kaur of Class VI recited the poem ‘A leader’ which filled the hearts of all with respect for self and others. The Investiture ceremony proceeded with the Power Point Presentation to introduce the newly appointed Council Members who pledged to begin their voyage with the motto and vision ‘To Perspire and Inspire’. Principal of SJA, Rev. Bro. Jeyaseelan administered the oath. An energetic dance performance that followed proved that dance is an expression of our hearts.
The esteemed Chief Guest, Dr. Ashish Kumar Srivastava, Principal Reverend Brother Jeyaseelan, the Vice Principal Reverend Bro. Astinus Kujur, the Senior School coordinators, the Middle school coordinators, Junior school coordinators pinned the badges onto the newly appointed Council members. The Chief Guest Dr. Ashish Kumar Srivastava’s words of encouragement motivated the young Josephites to turn challenges into great opportunities and reach the pinnacles of success. He was presented with a memento as a token of appreciation by Principal Reverend Brother Jeyaseelan who also proposed the Vote of Thanks. The Middle School Coordinator, Mrs. Anuradha Tandon congratulated the entire team for their tireless efforts.
