SGRRITS collage seats increased from 94 to 109

Dehradun. Medical Council  of India has increased the PG Seats of Shri Guru Ram Rai Institute of Medical & Health Sciences (Shri Guru Ram Rai Medical College)from 94 to109. SGRR Medical College has come up to the mark in all the parameters of NMC.

                 NMC has sent this information of increasing seats to Shri Guru Ram Rai Institute of Medical & Health Sciences by sending its letter. SGRR Medical College has emerged as no.1 Medical College of Uttarakhand that has the highest number of PG Seats in Uttarakhand. Chairman of Shri Guru Ram Rai Institute of Medical & Health Sciences has congratulated the Medical College’s Principal Dr. Yashbir Dewan, faculty members and students and showered his divine blessings over them on this outstanding  achievement of MCI increasing the PG Seats.  He urged all the doctors, paramedical staff and all other staff members to reinsure their commitment to provide quality healthcare service to people coming from far-flung and remote hill areas. He urged them to take the hospital to a new peak. He also promised his full cooperation and guidance in this task.

            It’s significant to mention that Medical Council of India (M.C.I.) conduct inspection from time to time regarding the Graduate and PG Seats of Medical Council. In this concern, team of National Medical Commission (NIC) has conducted inspection from September to November 2021. During this inspection, the basic facilities of Medical College, Clinical education stuff, technical facilities, sufficient numbers of faculty members, the research works done by the faculty members on national and international levels. Only after a Medical College is found up to the mark in all the above mentioned parameters, National Medical Commission (N.M.C.) and Medical Council of India (M.C.I.) issue instructions for increasing the number of seats.

                    This news is also a matter of happiness for the common people of Uttarakhand and Golden opportunity for the Medical students. Increase in the number of PG Seats at SGRR Medical College will straightforward benefit the people of Uttarakhand.  This will open new dimensions for the spread of quality medical education and health services. Uttarakhand will get more doctors with varied skills who will in turn serve the people. It’s worth mentioning that recently a survey was conducted by the India’s No.1 magazine India Today on India’s Medical Colleges. In the survey, Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital (S.G.R.R.) and Shri Guru Ram Rai Institute of Medical & Health Sciences won Sixth rank among the list of North India’s leading Medical Colleges.
