RLEK Celebrated International Yoga Day

Dehradun: The Rural Litigation and Entitlement Kendra, Dehradun a non-governmental organization, known for its work on human development and environment, celebrated International Yoga Day on 21st June, 2023 by conducting a Yoga Session. This day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and participation from RLEK interns and staff. The event aimed to promote the significance and goodness of Yoga in achieving physical and mental well-being. Yogacharya Manveer Rawat graced the occasion as the esteemed guest of the Yoga day. Manveer Rawat conducted an engaging yoga session for the attendees. The Chairperson Mrs. Pratima Menon introduced Yogacharya Manveer Rawat who is renowned for his exceptional work as a Yoga instructor at the Shivananda Ashram in Delhi and other parts of India.


Yogacharya Manveer Rawat commenced the Yoga session by emphasizing the importance of Yoga in maintaining physical health, mental balance, and spiritual well-being. He guided the participants through various yoga asanas (postures) and pranayama (breathing exercises), explaining their benefits and correct techniques. The Yoga session covered a wide range of asanas, including the Tadasana, Trikonasana, Bhujangasana and Shavasana among others. Yogacharya Manveer Ravat provided clear instructions and demonstrated each posture, allowing the participants to follow along and practice with precision.


In praise of Yoga session, Yana Topno, says, “Yoga event was so lively and interactive that I have decided today to continue Yoga in my life.” Another Intern, Shreya Toppo adds, “I am really feeling refreshed after the session.” Throughout the session, participants actively engaged with Yogacharya Manveer Rawat, asking questions and seeking guidance on specific Yoga techniques and their applicability in different situations. This allowed everyone to gain a deeper understanding of Yoga and its holistic benefits. The event not only brought awareness to the importance of Yoga but also provided practical knowledge and guidance to the participants. RLEK remains committed to promoting holistic health practices along with the usual work of the organization.
