Rising mortality rate of pensioners in the hope of justice is
worrisome

Dehradun/Kashipur:- EPS-95 held a convention at Kashipur, Uttarakhand under the leadership of
Commander Ashok Raut, the national president of National Agitation Committee (NAC), the organization
fighting for the rights of the pensioners. More than 700 delegates from all the districts of Uttarakhand
including Kumaun and Garhwal were present in this convention.
NAC Chief, Commander Ashok Raut welcomed everyone, congratulated the organizers and highlighted
the efforts being made by NAC to uplift the condition of pensioners.
It is worth mentioning that EPS-95 has been protesting continuously from different platforms for the last
many years with its demands. The demand of pensioners is that they should be given a minimum
pension of Rs 7500 and dearness allowance. According to EPFO’s letter dated 23.03.2017 * the facility of
option of higher pension on actual salary as well as medical facility and others * is also valid.
In the convention, Commander Ashok Raut said, “This time is favorable for us but we all need to be
more aware and cooperation and participation of every pensioner are required in all the programs run
by the organization in present and future”.
The women representatives of the organization, Mrs. Jayshree Kivlekar and Sarita Narkhede, in their
speech, laid special emphasis on the expansion of the organization of women’s power and said that
women’s power will prove to be helpful in making NAC victorious.
Sardar Shri Surendra Singh ji, Provincial President Uttarakhand, Shri Suresh Dangwal, Provincial General
Secretary were also present in this session.
The Provincial President of Uttarakhand, Sardar Surendra Singh ji guided the pensioners with details and
clearly said that the government should not test their patience any more and provide justice to the
pensioners immediately.
He said, “Even though the Prime Minister has assured us again, and for this we are Mr. Prime Minister.
We are equally grateful to Mrs. Hema Malini Ji.
Nevertheless, through this convention, we request Mr. Prime Minister that in view of the increasing
mortality rate of pensioners, please don’t make us wait any longer and accept our 4-point main
demands before the date 15 October 2021 and ensure justice.
Shri Asharam Sharma, National Vice President, Shri KS Tiwari, National Vice President, National Working
President of Mahila Front Smt. Jayshree Kivlekar, Organization Secretary of Mahila Front of West Zone
Ms. Sarita Narkhede, Punjab Provincial President Shri Jatinderveer Singh, NAC Headquarters Co-
Treasurer Shri BS Narkhede also graced the convention with their esteemed presence.

Provincial General Secretary Shri Suresh Dangwal in his speech stressed on the importance of unity, time
and contribution for the organization.
At the end of the convention, it was decided that the campaign to save pensioners should be intensified
and pensioners should get speedy justice.
In the next Haryana-Punjab joint conference proposed by the Provincial President of Haryana, Mr.
Rajkumar Tyagi and his team, the future strategy will be decided.

Pithoragarh, Satyaprakash Tanakpur, Gajendra Singh Rawat Kotdwar, Shri Ramprakash Sharma Roorkee,
Bhopal Officer, Ramnagar and Shri S.K. Mishra, Udham Singh Nagar etc. were present.

the successful organization of the convention.
