Dehradun:On Thursday, D.R.T.B. Centre of Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital established by its T.B. & Chest deptt. was inaugurated by Uttarakhand’s Health Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat. The hospital’s Drug Resistance Tuberculosis Centre (D.R.T.B. Centre) has been established in compliance of the guidelines of the Central Govt.’s Centre T.B. Division. The Central Govt. has kept the target to get rid
of Tuberculosis completely by 2025.
In this mission, Uttarakhand Govt. is ensuring its role by taking on the target to weed out Tuberculosis by 2024. In this noble mission of Uttarakhand Govt., the D.R.T.B. Centre of Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital will play a crucial role. This all was said by the Health Minister of Govt. of Uttarakhand, Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat while inaugurating the D.R.T.B. Centre of Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital as the Chief Guest of the programme. On Thursday, the inauguration of the D.R.T.B. Centre of Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital was done by the Chief Guest, Health Minister of Govt. of Uttarakhand, Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat.
While addressing the gathering at the occasion, he said that the private institutes are playing key roles in the healthcare services of Uttarakhand state along with the State Govt. He, in particular, praised Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital saying that the health services rendered by Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital are playing a significant role in the healthcare of the state. He appreciated the role of private hospitals including Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital while saving human lives in the global pandemic of Coronavirus. He said that Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital is a significant partner of the State Govt. in treating Ayushman beneficiaries.
He said that Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital is a major partner of Uttarakhand Govt. in the health services of the state. Speaking over the occasion, Principal, Shri Guru ram Rai Institute of Medical & Health Sciences, Dr. Yashbir Dewan said that it’s the dream of Shri Mahant Devendra Das Ji Maharaj to make reach quality healthcare services to the far flung villages of Uttarakhand. In order to accomplish this dream, Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital family is working as a mission. Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital is known as the lifeline of patients of Uttarakhand and nearby states.

Programme Coordinator & HOD, Deptt. of T.B. & Chest, Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital, Dr. Jagdish Rawat said that D.R.T.B. Centre is the place where critical Tuberculosis patients whose infection levels are high are kept and treated. He said that in the Drug Resistance Tuberculosis Centre (D.R.T.B. Centre) such critical patients are kept isolated from other general T.B. patients. At D.R.T.B. Centre, all the facilities of treatment are made available to the patients free of cost. He said that under the T.B. & Chest deptt. of Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital, quality treatment is given to the T.B. patients under the supervision of specialist doctors of this deptt.
He said that for critical patients of tuberculosis with high level of infection, this D.R.T.B. Centre will prove a boon. He expressed happiness over the initiation of D.R.T.B. Centre of Shri Mahant Indiresh hospital saying that Uttarakhand Govt. has expressed confidence over the hospital by issuing approval to run the D.R.T.B. Centre as a private partner with the Health Deptt. of Uttarakhand Govt. He also expressed gratitude towards State T.B. Officer Dr. S.K. Jha and District T.B. Officer Dr. Manoj Verma saying that their guidance has paved the way in the establishing of a D.R.T.B. Centre at Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital which resulted in this final starting of the centre at the hospital. Astt. Medical Superintendent of Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital, Dr. Gaurav Raturi said that quality health services at available at affordable costs for the common people. He gave an insight into the speciality and super speciality services of the hospital in detail.
