Dehradun: ‘Oxford School of Excellence’ organised an ‘Education Carnival’, today, in its premises. The event was inaugurated by School Director Captain Mukul Mahendru.
This was a combination of knowledge and fun. Parents and guests witnessed several projects, working models, live demonstrations, etc., prepared by the students. In addition, there was an English communication fair. It had many games based on English language, English singing, a Book Fair and Book Mark Making competition. Every participant received a participation gift. They also collected their ward’s Unit Test Report Card.
The exhibits were divided into sections named Vasundhara, Kalidas Katha, Fun with Maths, Go Green and Science Zone. Vasundhra exhibited volcanoes, seismograph, various projects on rainwater harvesting, irrigation, ATM machine, etc. The Mathematics Department had various puzzles, live explanations, etc. The Science Zone was full of working projects totaling 25 in number. The Hindi Department displayed a live demonstration of the ‘Jeevan Katha’ of Kalidas.
The Communication Fair was organised by the English Department. A number of students sang songs and enjoyed tongue twisters.
Present on this occasion were Director Captain Mukul Mahendru, Ranjana Mahendru and Principal Rachana Srivastava, who appreciated the students’ work.
