Mussoorie: : Oak Grove School, Jharipani hosted Late Col. A.C. Chapman Memorial Inter School, English Spelling Bee Contest. Total seventy three students from different schools of Maharashtra, Bihar West Bengal, Madurai, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand participated in this prestigious competition. The Chief Guest on the occasion were Mr. Rakesh Singh, A.D.R.M, Moradabad and Mr. Abhishek Kesarwani, Principal , Oak Grove School, Jharipani.
In the sub junior division Vaanya Makkar of Wynberg Allen School ,Mussoorie and Adhirit Dwevedi of Tons Bridge School, Dehradun secured first and second position respectively. In the junior division Vinaan Tripathi of Wynberg Allen School, Mussoorie and Tejas Kumar Barnwal of Eastern Railway School Assansol secured first and second position respectively. In the Senior division Amritesh Singh and Kritin Garg of Wynberg Allen School, Mussoorie got the first and second prize.
Speaking on the occasion Mr. Rakesh Singh said that the Spelling Bee competition helps students to improve their spelling and their vocabulary, learn concepts, and develop correct English usage. Mr. Singh further added that the Students should study the correct spelling of words from prepared study lists and participate in such type of competitions in which contestants are eliminated as they misspell a word. Mr. Abhishek Kesarwani, Principal, Oak Grove School, Jharipani. expressed his heartfelt thanks to the Principals of the various participating schools for having sent their students to participate in this contest and making it a grand success.
He further stated that in the coming years the same type of the event will be organised to bring out the best talent in the students. The Late Col. A.C. Chapman Memorial English Spelling Bee Contest was witnessed by Mrs. Komal Kesarwani, Mr.Vinay Kumar, Head Master, Oak Grove Junior School, Mrs.Kusum Kamboj, Head Mistress , Oak Grove Senior Girls’ School, Mr. R.K Nagpal ,Incharge Head Master, Oak Grove Senior Boys’ School, Mr.Vipul Rawat Mr. Anupam Singh Dr. Atul Kumar Saxena, Mrs. Dharya Nagpal, Ms.Priyanka Jaiswal,R.N Yadav ,Pramod Kumar,Archana Shankar, Nirroo Kushwaha ,Deepmala Singh, Preeti Lakra, Aruna ,Radha Rani,Ashutosh kumar,Brijesh Kumar, Ashok Kumar Singh Pranil Nandeshwar, Abhay Kumar Mishra and other faculty members of the school.
