Dehradun : The 49th edition of the Jackie Memorial Football Tournament is being organized from 23 July to 14 August. A total number of 32 teams (14 Clubs and 18 Schools from Dehradun and Mussoorie) participated in the tournament. The two Semi-Final matches were played on last Friday .In the first semi-final, St George’s College (A) defeated Kyarkulli Sports Club by 3-1. For St George’s College (A), the goals were scored by Kalam in the 12th and 76th minutes and Satya in the 28th minute. For Kyarkulli Sports Club, the only goal was scored by Karan in the 22nd minute.
In the second semi-final match played today, Mussoorie United Football Club defeated St George’s College (B) by 5-0. For Mussoorie United Football Club, the goals were scored by Sahil Tyagi in the 13th minute, Sahil Sonker in the 27th and 66th minutes, Mukul in the 33rd minute and Padam in the 44th minute. The Referees for today’s matches were Abhi Gurung, Pushkar Gusain, Balvinder, Rohan Chamoli and Sushant Ale.
Bro PU George (Superior & Sports Secretary St George’s College), Bro Joseph M Joseph (Principal, St George’s College), Bro Shaju Thomas (Vice-Principal), Anand Thapa (Sports Coordinator), Bhavnesh Negi and the members of the Sports Department were present. The final of the Tournament will be played between St George’s College (A) and Mussoorie United Football Club on 14 August
