Dehradun: The School of Education (SOE), Shri Guru Ram Rai University and SGRR Public Schools signed a first of its kind MOU. With the signing of this MOU, Pupil Teachers of B.Ed. from the School of Education, SGRR University will be able to complete their internships as well as impart quality education in schools. The concept of partner schools has successfully moved these neglected dimensions such as cooperation and cooperative learning and enormously strong focus on building individual skills and achieving standards into the center of attention.
While addressing the gathering over the occasion, Prof. Dr. Uday Singh Rawat, Vice Chancellor of Shri Guru Ram Rai University, said that signing of this MOU will enable the pupil teachers of the SOE to complete their internship from SGRR Public Schools as well as be trained to become professional teachers and impart quality education worldwide. This will be beneficial for the holistic development of the B.Ed. Pupil teachers as they will be able to evaluate/ assess themselves and inculcate high educational value thus improving the quality of Education.It would also provide the theoretical and conceptual foundations for future extension or even generalization.
Registrar of Shri Guru Ram Rai University Prof. Dr. Deepak Sahni in his address to the gathering said that this is the very first MOU of School of Education of SGRRU which will make internship of pupil teachers professional and prepare future teachers more focused on the progress of the students at the schools. Over this occasion, Authorized Signatory of the Shri Guru Ram Rai Education Mission, Vijay Nautiyal stated that this is the first MOU of School of Education which would provide pupil teachers’ opportunities to gain from quality learning and professionalization. While speaking over the occasion said that the signing of this MOU with the pilot schools and the exploration of these partner schools following the design based research approach it is possible to gain an even deeper understanding of the processes of professionalization in working and learning communities. She added
that similar MOUs will be signed with other prominent educational institutions for improving the quality of internship for the pupil teachers. The occasion was also marked by the auspicious presence of Dr. Balbir Kaur ,HOD, B.Ed., School of Education, Shri Guru Ram Rai University was also present on the occasion.
