Mussoorie: On October 19, 2022, Mussoorie International school celebrated their 39 th annual sports day with full zeal and enthusiasm. It was heartening to see the MIStars march the path to glory. The day began with the chanting of the mantras, welcoming of the honorable chief guest Dr. Suresh Kumar Advani, Professor, S.P.Jain Management college, Mumbai by the school principal Ms. Meeta Sharma. The flag hoisting and the lighting of the torch to officially begin the meet set the pace to the event with all houses up and about running, performing and cheering for the participants.
MIS culture of standing as one when it comes to school pride, was evident in the discipline the students demonstrated on the field. Lazium, PT drill, Yoga, Zumba, Sword Dance, Karate, Races and much more lit the bright sunny day with more cheer and happiness as the parents gleamed. While many won individual awards, the overall sports trophy and the best march past were won by Lakshmi House. The head of school was seen gleaming with pride as the students through sports day displayed perfect skills, discipline, commitment and pride as they wore their dresses for the closing ceremony. The day ended with the closing speech by the chief guest which was inspiring in every aspect.
