Dehradun, 10 May 2022: Shri Shrikant Madhav Vaidya, Chairman, Indian Oil Corporation Limited felicitated the Martyrs’ families of Operation Vijay at a felicitation function held at Dehradun. Mr Vaidya met and interacted with the families of Kargil War Heros, who have been awarded Petrol pumps and LPG distributorships in Uttrakhand and UP West under Uttar Pradesh State Office -II by IndianOil as a tribute to the supreme sacrifice done in the service of the Nation during the Operation Vijay by the soldiers guarding the Motherland in the presence of Major General Sanjeev Khatri, VSM, GOC Sub Area Dehra Dun who was the Guest of Honour at the event.
Paying homage to the Martyrs, Sh. Vaidya light the lamp at the “Wall of Remembrance” – a wall depicting photographs of the War Heroes in the presence of their family members, Sh. Rajkumar Dubey, Executive Director & State Head, IndianOil, Uttar Pradesh State Office- II, Sh. Ajay Garg, CGM (RS), UPSO II, Senior officers of Indian Armed Forces and IndianOil.
During his address Chairman, IndianOil lauded the sacrifice of the Indian Armed Forces during the Kargil War and also highlighted the relentless efforts undertaken by IndianOil in providing rehabilitation to the families of Martyrs. He informed that IndianOil is dedicated to serve the Nation with the belief of Pehle Indian Phir Oil which is evident from the efforts taken by IndianOil to ensure a source of livelihood to the families of the War Heroes.
In his address to the gathering Major General Sanjeev Khatri lauded the efforts of IndianOil during the Kargil War and appreciated the efforts undertaken by IndianOil in supporting the families of the martyrs Sh. Shrikant Madhav Vaidya also presented the new age Composite LPG Cylinders to Ex-Officials from the Indian Armed Forces who were present at the event.
