Mussoorie,2 May 2023:- The annual function of Investiture Ceremony for Prefects for the year 2023-2024 was held today . The student council of fifty-two members was vested with various responsibilities for the new session. The appointment of the deserving students were made keeping in mind, their leadership qualities, reliability consistency and performance in academic and other related fields. They were also judged on the basis of their character and communication skills. The Chief Guest on the occasion was Mr. Naresh Kumar, Principal, Oak Grove School, Jharipani.
Thereafter, the chief guest vested the newly appointed council members with the badges. The body of the prefects led by the
Boys’ School Captain and Vice Captain, Anurag Anand and Abhi Raj respectively, Girls’ School Captain and Vice Captain, Shubhangi Singh and Anuradha Sharma respectively, Junior school Captain (Girls’ section) Vasundhara and Aditya Singh , Junior school Captain ( Boys’ section ) and Rishabh Junior School Games Captain (Boys’ Section) and Kristina Roy , Games Captain (Girls’ Section) respectively. Utkarsh and Siddhi were the Junior School Vice Captain in Boys and Girls Section respectively.
Satyam Kumar and Kumari Sakshi were selected as Sports Captain of Boys’ and Girls’ section respectively. All the selected students took the oath of sincerity, honesty, loyalty to the institution and their duty. They also vowed to work for the glory and honor of the institution and to fulfill the duties and responsibilities bestowed upon them in good faith. The Principal, Naresh Kumar, administered the oath of office to the respective members.
Speaking on the occasion Naresh Kumar congratulate every post holder and advise them to be able leaders by developing leadership qualities. Ability to overcome challenges, a resilient attitude and dedication are the true qualities of a successful leader. With these responsibilities placed on their firm shoulders, the newly appointed office-bearers vowed to act as role models for the rest of the school to emulate.
Finally, at the end of the programme the vote of thanks was proposed by Mr. Anupam Singh. The ceremony was witnessed by Mrs. Savita Kumari, Kusum Kamboj, Head Mistress, Oak Grove senior Girls’ School , R.K Nagpal ,Incharge ,Head Master, Oak Grove Boys’ School, Vinay Kumar, Head Master, Oak Grove Junior School, Vipul Rawat, Atul Kumar Saxena, R.N Yadav, Dharya Nagpal ,S.K Raza, ,Sudheer Nautiyal ,Maneesha Sharma, Neeroo Kushwaha, Archana Shankar ,Shadab Alam , Yogesh Nautiyal, Aisha ,Abhishek Rawat, Preeti Lakra, Pramod Kumar ,G.D Raturi and other faculty members of the school.
