Dehradun: In Uttarakhand, especially in Dehradun town many pseudo environmentalists who have not planted one single tree in their entire life are opposing road widening as well as road construction. They are the people who never travel by road, even to go to Delhi they go by Air. Similarly, they are criticizing hydropower projects. Though Uttarakhand is called Urja Pradesh, but Uttarakhand is buying energy from Himachal and other states and that is also not sufficient enough. All these critics of hydro projects are having generator in their houses and in their offices. Thus, they are polluting the air quality of Doon. Doon is a cup-shaped valley, whatever is emitted it settles down here only. On the other hand, nearby state of Himachal and even China and many other countries are making big hydropower projects. Hydro projects have been declared by the UN as Clean and Green Energy. In case, these individuals and NGOs who are having huge foreign funding are allowed to continue in same way, our economy is going to end like Sri Lanka.
