Dehradun: Constitution Day was celebrated with pomp on Friday at Siddhartha Law College located on Sahastradhara Road. On this occasion, a true copy of the Constitution of India was released by the tax lotus of Governor Lt Gen Gurmeet Singh and Amit Sirohi, Legal Adviser to the Governor. Which was installed in the library of the Faculty of Law. Earlier the program was started with the national anthem and lighting of the lamp in front of Goddess Saraswati. On this occasion, the chief guest, the President of the institute, Durga Verma, presented him with a bouquet and a shawl warmly greeted him. On this occasion, the chief guest introduced the constitutional values to the students present in the meeting. At the same time, an undertaking was taken to perform the constitutional duties. After this, the administrative director of the institute, DK Tyagi welcomed the special guest Amit Sirohi by presenting him a bunch of flowers. Justice KD Shahi, Director of the Law College, welcomed the guests with his words. In the end, again the President of the Institute, Durga Verma thanked the Chief Guest by presenting a memento to the Governor. Dr. Sharafat Ali, Principal of Siddharth Law College conducted the program efficiently. On this occasion all the faculty and students including Principal of Siddharth Institute of Pharmacy Dr. Sanjay Singh and Principal of Siddharth Nursing College, Dr. Anil Kumar were present.,….debate competition heldOn this occasion, a debate competition among law students and constitution quiz was also organized. Medhansh Moksh Malhotra and Mohammad Saqib were victorious in the debate competition. Sonakshi Sinha and Prashant’s team were victorious in the Q&A competition on the Constitution. The students were encouraged by giving trophies by the chairman of the institute.
