13th November 2021, Dehradun: The students of MKP PG College witnessed a Sitar Recital presented by SPIC MACAY, the Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture Amongst Youth today.
The great sitar virtuoso and an exponent of the illustrious Imdadkhani Gharana, Dhruv Bedi presented an awe-inspiring Sitar recital of Raag Bhatiyar, Raag Khamaj along with a few bhajans. The subtle finger movements of the sitar maestro left the students mesmerized.
A truly versatile artist, Dhruv Bedi is irrefutably one of the best and youngest sitarists of India. Currently taking training under maestro Pt. Budhaditya Mukherjee, Dhruv has a vast repertoire of collaborating with Carnatic Classical, Jazz, Korean, Scottish, Russian, and other western genres of music in India and abroad.
Earlier today, he also performed at Purkul Youth Development Society and the National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons with Visual Disabilities.
