Dehradun. State level music teacher Pratibha Samman-Ceremony started in the auditorium of Graphic Era Hill University on Friday. As the chief guest of the program Padmashree Dr. Pritam Bharatwan folk singer said that the folk music of Himalayas manifests the divine. It has so much power that it awakens the inner consciousness and awakens the divinity. He said that an environment should be created by inculcating interest in music among the students. Diploma courses based on folk songs and music should be organized. At present, all the developed countries of the world are coming towards their people. Civilization survives from people. Regarding the present development, he said that development does not mean only material development but also the development of inner consciousness.Director General School Education Banshidhar Tiwari said that the objective of this program is to provide a great platform to the teachers. This will keep the traditions alive.
Traditions need to be passed on to the next generation. He said that singing, playing and dancing are a yogic activity. It is the union of body, mind and prana. Through music, both the listener and the listener get pleasure. Said that everyone should be protected for his folk-instruments, folk-singing. It is said that music is an integral part of life. This gives peace to the mind.
