Dehradun: Urja Power Panthers the winner team of first Department Premier League cricket tournament today met the Hon’ble Minister of Sports Mrs. Rekha Arya ji and conveyed their gratitude for her cooperation in organising the tournament. On the format of Indian Premier League the DPL was organised at Maharana Pratap Sports Stadium and Rajeev Gandhi International Cricket Stadium by the Department Cricket Development Committee of Uttarakhand. On the occasion Hon’ble Sports Minister Mrs. Rekha Arya congratulate the Power Panthers team and wished them a bright future.
She also promised all the possible help in organising these types of tournament in future. The Urja Power Panthers team members assured the Hon’ble Minister that they would lend all possible support to promote the new generation interested in sports and will work on identifying the hidden talents of the state. Present during the meeting were captain of Urja Power Panthers Kiran Singh alongwith Vimal Dabral, Mukesh Kumar, Deepak Madhwal, Gaurav Ghildiyal Dara, Ravi, Brijmohan and other players.
