CII NORTHERN REGION GETS NEW OFFICE BEARERS FOR 2022- 23

Dehradun: Anshuman Magazine and Deepak Jain have been elected as the Chairman and Deputy Chairman respectively of CII Northern Region for 2022-23. The proficient incumbents were elected during the first meeting of the newly elected Regional Council members. Magazine will head CII Northern Region which comprises 7 States – Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, and 3 Union Territories – Chandigarh, Jammu & Kashmir, and Ladakh.

Anshuman Magazine is the Chairman & CEO, India, Southeast Asia, Middle East, and Africa at CBRE. Based in New Delhi, he oversees operations for 25 countries and over 50 offices and affiliates across these geographies. In this role, he is responsible for CBRE’s Advisory & Transactions Services, Global Workplace Solutions & Property Management, Capital Markets, Project Management, Consulting & Valuation businesses across India, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.

In India, he has been involved in some of the largest and most prestigious advisory assignments including a disinvestment exercise for a portfolio of 26 Government-owned hospitality assets, privatization of airports, and various other infrastructure projects. Globally, he has played a prime role in assisting many multinational corporations in establishing and successfully running their India operations.

Elaborating on the priorities for 2022 – 23, Magazine said, “Having entered the ‘Amrut Kaal’ – the 25-year-long leadup to India@100 – CII Northern Region aims to abet the government to attain its vision of complementing the macroeconomic level growth focus with a microeconomic level all-inclusive welfare focus; promoting digital economy & fintech, technology-enabled development, energy transition, and climate action; and relying on virtuous cycle starting from private investment with public capital investment helping to crowd-in private investment.”

Magazine listed 8 priority areas for CII Northern Region for the year 2022 – 23 that include Policy Advocacy, Ease & Cost of Doing Business, Competitiveness of MSMEs, Facilitating Investments, Strengthening Physical, Social Infrastructure, Entrepreneurship, Startups & Skill Developments, Environment Sustainability, and Water.

Jain is the Chairman, Regional Committee on Advanced Manufacturing of CII NR Region, Immediate Past President of Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA) – (2019-2021), Vice President of Toyota Kirloskar Supplier’s Association (TKSA), Executive Council Member of Maruti Suzuki Supplier Welfare Association (MSSWA), TATA Motors Suppliers Council and Member of International Centre for Automotive Technology (ICAT) Research Advisory Board (RAB).
