Dehradun: Cafe Marigold was started in 2011 by three housewives. The location at Shenshahi Ashram, Rajpur on Old Mussoorie road was away from the city with a European style open seating concept which was much appreciated by Doonites ,who thronged the cafe to enjoy it’s special hand beaten coffee and snacks. Even during the COVID phase the cafe stood it’s ground and managed to sustain it’s business.Ten years of Cafe Marigold in Rajpur was celebrated with great pomp and show. On this occasion everyone congratulated the owner, Alka Lakhera Kukreti , for this journey. Singer Sarthak Uniyal also enthralled the audience with his songs.
On completion of ten years of Cafe Marigold the owner Alka Lakhera Kukreti was also very emotional. She told us that she did not travel on this journey alone, but the staff supported her through and through.There were problems during the COVID phase yet the salary of the staff was not deducted. Alka told us that because of the quaint location and outdoor seating, people like to spend leisurely time at the cafe. Many young couples have dated here and later got married too. Many have come back with their toddlers! The cafe has been covered by a lot of magazines and websites over the years.People love our concept of simple, fresh , homestyle food.
Over the years we have managed to retain the staff and maintain the food quality with utmost sincerity. Many of our dishes are very popular like the Saucy Momos, Pasta, Chicken Steak and Indian Platters . We have also introduced new cuisines like Mexican , Oriental and Mediterranean on our specials menu. Along with this, Pahari food is also made here on special demand.Attachments area
