Dehradun, The one of the local based book discussion community named Booknerds, kick started a new initiative for children to inculcate early reading habits in them.
Booknerds launched a dedicated Children’s Library on Children’s Day that houses carefully curated children and young adult books/novels and is a haven for young readers.
The editorial team at Booknerds handpicks every book in the library and offers personalised recommendations for all age groups and genres. The two-hour launch event was open for adults and children, alike, and featured book themed activities and contests like comic strip designing, storytelling, book reading and DIY bookmark challenge, which concluded with an award for ‘Little Booknerd of the Afternoon’.
The launch event was attended by bookworms and book enthusiasts. The Booknerds Children’s Library is now open for all and shall organise book events, author events and storytelling sessions in the future.
