Dehradun: After learning about the sinking of the Himalayan town of Joshimath, Mercy For Animals India Foundation’s team member and volunteers rushed to the hill town to provide the much needed relief to the people, their companion and community animals. MFA India team member and volunteers helped Joshimath residents secure fodder for their cattle and pet supplies for their dogs for over a month, which would decrease any chances of the animals remaining hungry.
“In these tough times, animals are neglected the most” says Niharika Kapoor, Organising Coordinator of MFA India. “While most attention is given towards the rescue and rehabilitation of the people of Joshimath, it is our responsibility to take care of the animals equally by providing them much needed relief” adds Niharika.
