A 70 member group of ‘Sangat’ devotees on foot reached Shri Darbar Sahib

Dehradun. A 70 member group of ‘Sangat’ devotees on foot (Paidal Sangat) reached Shri Darbar Sahib on Wednesday evening from different parts of Punjab. As soon as the devotees on foot (Paidal Sangat) reached Darshani Gate at 4:30 p.m. in the evening, it
was welcomed with rain of flowers and playing of musical instruments ‘dhol’ and ‘ngare’. The group of ‘Sangat’ devotees (Paidal Sangat) was welcomed by Sajjadanashin of Shri Darbar Sahib, Shri Mahant Devendra Dass Ji Maharaj in a grand manner.

Shri Maharaj ji gave ‘darshan’ to the ‘Sangat’ devotees and showered his divine blessings on them. The premises of Shri Darbar Sahib and entire nearby areas echoed with the praise slogans of Shri Guru Ram Rai Ji Maharaj. Manager of Mela Organizing Committee of Shri Darbar Sahib, K.C. Juyal informed that just like every year to witness the sacred festival of Shri Jhande Ji Raising and Mela, the ‘Sangat’ devotees on foot (Paidal Sangat) have reached Shri Darbar Sahib from Punjab.

The magnificence and glory of Shri Darbar Sahib were on top on the beautiful moment of arrival of Paidal Sagat (Sangat devotees on foot) at Shri Darbar Sahib. The Sangat devotees danced enthusiastically on the rhythm of musical instrument dhol and raised praise slogans of Shri Guru Ram Rai Ji Maharaj. Today on Wednesday at 12 noon, the ‘Sangat’ devotees on foot (Paidal Sangat) were welcomed at the Primary School, Kanwali. In the evening at around 4:30 p.m., the Sangat devotees on foot (Paidal Sangat) were warmly welcomed under the guidance of Shri Mahant Devendra Das Ji Maharaj at Darshani Gate and at Shri Darbar Sahib.

In this way, the process of arrival of ‘Sangat’ devotees at Shri Darbar Sahib from India and abroad has begun from Wednesday. On 19 th March 2022, the Sangat devotees will take the new Shri Jhande Ji (the new holy flag pole) from Shri Guru Ram Rai Public School, Bombay Bagh and then carry it on their shoulders to Lal Pul, then to Matawala Bagh, then to Saharanpur Chowk and then finally reach Shri Darbar Sahib. As per the tradition of Shri Darbar Sahib, the Sangat devotees of the East will be given a farewell on Monday, 21 st March 2022. On Tuesday, 22 nd March 2022, Shri Jhande Ji Mela will begin with the Raising of Shri Jhande Ji (the holy flag pole).
