Dehradun-16 August 2022- The POLY KIDS celebrated 75 th Independence Day with a lot of enthusiasm fervor in all 25 branches. Dalanwala Branch was decorated in accordance with the occasion in the school. All the kids were dressed up as Tri-colour Dresses. The staff too was dressed in tricolor theme. The school was looking vibrant with colours.
Our Chairman Capt. Mukul Mahendru, Director Mrs. Ranjana Mahendru and Chief guest Col. Prahlad Sethi and Mrs. Saroj Sethi hoisted the flag and received the salute. The kids then put on a wonderful show where they danced and the little kids sang patriotic songs. Children performances were speech in English & Hindi, Dance performance on Bharat ki Beti, Desh Salona, Our Vibrant India, Dance Medley. Kids and Teachers went for a rally on the Independence Day with full zeal and enthusiasm with Vande Matram and Bharat Mata ki Jai on their lips.
The Investiture Ceremony also took place on the same day. The Head Girl, Head Boy, Captain and Vice Captain were given the badges and sash. There were four houses Agni House, Jal House, Prithvi House, Vayu House. The School Captains – Head Girl-Sanskriti Mishra, Head Boy – Chitransh Singh, Jal House Captain – Vedansh Tiwari, Vice Captain – Aradhya Pokhriyal, Vayu House Captain – Archit Panwar, Vice Captain – Tanishka Aswal, Prithvi House Captain – Abhay Singh Chauhan , Vice Captain – Kritika Sati, Agni House Captain – Shivanshi Rawat, Vice Captain Vasu Vedant Singh.
Prizes for Rakhi Making Competition were also distributed and the winners were – Prithvi House – First – Anika Rawat, Second – Somagya Badoni, Third – Atharv Dobhal. Vayu House – First – Vibhuti Bhatt, Second – Yash Vardhan, Third – Akshit Pratap Singh. Jal House – First – Harshita Joshi, Second – Vedansh Tiwari, Third – Akriti Gusain. Agni House – Aahil Abrahim, Second – Md. Huzzeffa, Third – Dhruv Badli. All the winners were given the prizes.A speech by Capt. Mahendru was delivered on what is the meaning and importance of Independence. Everyone present was distributed sweets in lieu of the grant celebration.
Parents were also called for the programme. Refreshments were arranged for them. Present on the occasion were: Chairman Capt Mukul Mahendru, Directors Mrs. Ranjana Mahendru, Event Manager – Mrs. Mrs. Deepti Sethi. Academic Co-ordinator-Mrs. Vineeta Gera, Head Mistresses –Mrs. Meenakshi Dhawan, and the complete staff of The Poly Kids.
