Dehradun: Nanhi Dunya celebrated festive of greenery Harela with full enthusiasm. Nanhi Dunya has had this age old tradition of planting trees twice a year in the name of “Vanundhara Day” and from 8th July we are planting saplings everyday. Bhawana sharing her views said we believe that the number of saplings does not matter in fact what matters is how those saplings are taken care of once they are planted. Workshops on environment are being held often and is a part of Nanhi Dunya.
Urmila Thakur taking on the occasion expressed that Nanhi Dunya, “Center for Environment” is always conducting sessions and get togethers. Cultural activities like dance-drama with a message of environmental awareness and short poetry were being held. Sweets were distributed and the kids enjoyed very much. As this year Nanhi Dunya is celebrating its Rainbow Platinum Jubilee, therefore we make it a point to celebrate each and every festival to its fullest potential so that this can be remembered throughout. Kavita expressed gratitude to all the children.
