Forest Department is keeping tight eye on forest fire uncertainties

Dehradun: Due to heavy temperature and humidity this year chances of forest fire in present time has also rapidly increased. This year till now 167 forest fire incidents has happened in Uttarakhand and due to which 214 hectare forest area was burned. Within last 12 hours on Uttarakhand Garhwal Mandal area on various 8 locations caught fire. Chief Conservator of Forest Department, forest fire and disaster management Nishant Verma while talking to involvement news said that within last 12 hours in Garhwal on 7 various forest locations and in Kumaon 1 location caught fire due to which 4.75 hectare dense forest was burned and loss of 10,250 was occurred to state. He also said in whole uttarakhand from 15th  February to 3rd April till 167 forest incidents were occurred and from which 65 fire incidence were occurred and Garhwal region and 90 were held in kumaun region. In Civil Van Panchayats 5 fire incidents were also occurred due to which 214hectare  total forest land area was got ruined . Along with this  600333 Cr economic loss  was bare by Uttarakhand. For conserving forest on regular basis Forest department  has also released toll free numbers in state.
