Dehradun. On Thursday, the member of Indian Women’s Cricket Team and Dehra Dun’s daughter Sneh Rana was honoured by Shri Guru Ram Rai University. Sneh Rana is also the Brand Ambassador of Shri Guru Ram Rai University. SGRR University honoured Sneh Rana with a Cheque of Rupees One Lakh and Citation (Prashasti Patra). Sneh Rana also played cricket with University’s Cricket Team and gave tips of best cricketing to young players.
On Thursday, a grand honour programme was organized at the auditorium of Shri Guru Ram Rai University. At 11 a.m. in the morning, immediately at the entry of Sneh Rana and her coach Kiran Shah, the whole auditorium echoed with clapping. The programme was initiated by lamp lighting by Chief Guest Sneh Rana, her Coach Kiran Shah, Shri Guru Ram Rai University’s Vice Chancellor Dr. Uday Singh Rawat, Co-ordinator Dr. R.P. Singh, Registrar Dr. Deepak Sahni and Professor Malvika Kandpal jointly. HOD, Music, School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Astt. Professor Priya Pandey along with university students presented the Welcome Song and Saraswati Vandana.
In her address, Sneh Rana said that she has seen numerous ups and downs.
These ups and downs are inseparable from the journey of sports and a sportsperson. She shared the memories of her practice sessions at Dehradun, the memories of practicing cricket at SGRR Race Course ground which she proclaims as her ‘karmabhoomi’, she payed utmost respect to Shri Mahant Devendra Das Ji Maharaj, Coaches Narender Shah and Kiran Shah.
Sneh Rana said that she always got recharged with the practice time spent at SGRR Race Course ground and guidance of coach Narender Shah. She remembered the moments passed with SGRR family, memories of SGRR Race Course ground and charismatic innings played in England. She said that she has deep faith and confidence in Shri Darbar Sahib, Shri Jhande Sahib, Shri Guru Ram Rai Ji Maharaj and Shri Mahant Devendra Das Ji Maharaj. She said that she visits Shri Darbar Sahib again and again get showered the divine blessings of Shri Maharaj Ji over her. She said that Shri Mahant Devendra Das Ji Maharaj is the source of inspiration to her.
Vice Chancellor of Shri Guru Ram Rai University, Dr. Uday Singh Rawat honoured Sneh Rana with a Cheque of Rupees One Lakh, Citation (prashsti patra) and a memento of Shri Darbar Sahib.
