Dehradun: Charter Night and Installation Ceremony was organized by Lions Club Dehradun Unity, on this occasion newly elected President Kavita Kakkar and other office bearers were introduced. Also the activities of the club were explained. The chief guest of the program Jitendra Chauhan told that he is going to become the International Director of the club and his swearing-in program will be held on July 1.
In this program organized in a hotel located on GMS Road, Jitendra Chauhan said that Lions Club is the biggest organization in the world. We are working with 1.4 million members in the world. Said that 24 hours our Lions family is working all over the world. Said that I congratulate the new president of the club. Said that both the current and new presidents are women. This is a matter of great happiness. Vice District Governor Second Pankaj Bijalvan said that the main function of Lions Club is to serve. which we are doing.
The District Governor of the club, Dr. Gaurav Garg said that the entire Garhwal area of Uttarakhand comes under our division. There were less clubs in Garhwal, so now our focus is to open clubs in the mountains, so that the people there can also join the club and do service. The Vice District Governor of the club, First Rajnish Goyal said that the clubs have been opened recently in Srinagar and Pauri. Very hardworking members have been found there. This has strengthened our will power to open clubs in the mountains.
